Bought a phone from a dude I know... Locked to Mint... OK, I'll order a sim card from mint and get $15/mo service. Card comes... Put it in phone... Let's me activate the phone and my new phone number shows up in my email... Back to the lock screen.

Mint's call center is in Dominican Republic... the shitskins there can't put together fucking sentences.

If anybody knows a workaround for this shit... please help

MVNOs usually have some instructions to dial weird things in the phone app to reset/activate the new card, if the automatic setup doesn't work. But you'll probably get a lower monthly bill from Tello if you aren't a big data whore on the phone.
