I remember reading something about the international jew attempting to persuade a small town hic farmer with his "big city ideas". The point the writer/speaker made that stuck with me for many years was when he described the farmers "defense against intrusive culture".

The farmer didn't argue, he didn't debate, he played ignorant and didn't care because now this interloper believes(falsely) that he is too ignorant and not useful to interlopers plans. End result: left the fuck alone.
I can't say this worked in the long run, but it reminds me of these. Social Ostracizing as a cultural defense.
