Hahaha I forgot about this. I think it's hilarious that KFC is a Japanese Christmas tradition.

The guy that opened the first KFC franchise in Japan did a marketing stunt telling people that it was an American Tradition to eat KFC at Christmas.

People started doing KFC at Christmas as a kind of "Haha crazy Americans and their goofy round eye traditions" joke. But the joke "tradition" became a real tradition.

Pretty cool actually.

I was told that this is what they think Americans eat for Christmas. Our culture is so powerful that even our fake culture gets adopted by other countries.

I tried out KFC while I was visiting Japan a while back just to see if it's any better than here in Canada. The size of the chicken pieces were smaller, but it did taste slightly better. Still not that great though.

I liked some of the themed restaraunts there, e.g., ninja, prison, etc. One of their chains had a little train that brought your food out. It ran along the wall and stopped at your table. A lot of novelty there that you cant have here due to the undesireables.
