The two previously were never connected topics.
It was easy to go pro in one, and never even think about the other.
As networked computing became a dominant force in our economy (as we turned 30), everything changed.
I am a klutz in political matters, I could never be a politician, but I am capable of understanding a complex system subject to manipulation. There's way bigger fish though, who are enamored with politics AND tech. Some of them even have money.
