So a single-stranded RNA betacoronavirus can live on a hard surface inside respiratory droplets and is barely detectable within that 72hr period.
But apparently, it can live on in dead tissue with no way to reproduce, exposed to elements for nearly 3weeks, wow, such BS!
Hamsters had traces of the virus post-mortem and spread it to live hamsters
Not hampsters that were dead for 17days though
In one study on rodents, researchers infected a group of hamsters with the coronavirus and euthanized them 24 to 48 hours later.
So it is almost as if a coronavirus can barely survive outside a host for 48-72hrs before requiring a new host to reproduce. Hence BS at it surviving in cadavers for 3 weeks to infect anyone.
