When a stray cat comes up to a grumpy guy in a big service truck at a truck stop and let's you pet them, you know they're in serious need.

He led me to his friends. One was just staring into the window at the side entrance hoping someone would help.

Went inside and got some tuna for them. Went back the next morning on my way back out to the field and gave some more. Usually they can survive the cold when given enough food (it's not below zero or anything here).

Wish I could have taken them home, they were very nice.

Keep them around. You won’t have rodent or other small pest problems and the cats will provide a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Lots of businesses keep a cat or few around.
