Version 3.0 closely resembles Apple's macOS, whereas previous versions more closely resembled Windows XP;

Dropping the totalitarian OS from 'the evil empire', and upgrading the lives of his people? It's still going to be spyware, but at least now it will be pleasant spyware.

Pleasant surveillance.
and Nice churches.
Pleasant rationing.
and Nice pills to take.

Am skeptical of the churches and pills, but the rest is a given. For North Koreans allowed (or forced) to use a computer, the quality of the interface has an outsized impact on ones experience of life.

I've run the Mac OS since 1984, and now have one of Bills covid machines too. Windows is the mass market OS for the lower 80%, and is designed to make you feel awful. North Koreans aren't going to have great lives for a number of reasons, but this part may be a little brighter.

I've been running some form or other of linux for the past 15 years and I really prefer it.

I don't always know what I'm doing but there is generally someone who does and who is willing to help. Once set up and configured, it's CLEANER and easier to navigate. Faster. More user friendly than windoze.

Linux is also more about the user and less of the "FUCK YOU! take this program how it is and like it slave" that the fuckheads windows think is perfectly fine.

Could have been a link to any OS and remain true.

Neither work nor leisure require windows for me these days. Everything works, even the few silly games I still sometimes play.
