In the 70’s, after a glass Coke bottle got all shook up on the way home from the grocery store, my mom dropped the bottle in our tiny kitchen. There was no escaping the shrapnel death blossom. 15 stitches across two wounds.

My nephews, pushing 18, have no stitches. No wonder they're such insufferable weakling faggots.

Also didnt drink soda the way its done now. I remember if granpa brought a bottle of rc cola in we were going to have a party. And this was your cup https://u.smutty.horse/mlbmswqrvsx.png now its like everyone ges a 2 liter each.

Same. Sodapop was only drunk for special occasions. parties, the anual treat to the fast food joint, restaurant on vacation. I proabably only drank one or two liters in the entire year growing up.

I remember reading somewhere that cancer rates exploded AFTER plastic bottles were introduced.

If we'd just seize the middle east we'd have enough sand to make glass bottles for a looooong time.

They don't want to make glass. Plastic is less expensive and leaches xenoestrogens (and other garbage) into whatever you're drinking/eating (they want you sick). Bisphenols have been known to be estrogenic since the 1930's when they were considered for use as estrogen therapy for women.

And before anyone thinks, "but I drink out of BPA free plastics." Maybe you do, but BPA is used to make plastic rigid, so instead of using BPA, they use BPS, or BPF, or another of the myriad bisphenols. Not only that, but this shit is in many non-plastic products, and it's now in the environment and the drinking water (along with pharmaceuticals excreted through our urine). You cannot escape it. These corporations have severely contaminated our world.

What a shame...

Doubly a shame because I swear everything tastes better out of a glass. Sharper, if that makes sense.

Careful, I saw in Jew York City that they’re starting to sell glass bottles of Pepsi with HFCS in them.

Like, wtf!? So not only do I still need a bottle opener, you’re gonna try and cuck me at the same time? Get fucked, kikes!

[ - ] PhantomXLII 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 21:05:12 ago (+0/-0)

I just grab a glass cup when I can at home. Still comes out of a 2L though.

Oh well.

Why the fuck are you drinking Pepsi?

[ - ] CoronaHoax 2 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 22:21:20 ago (+2/-0)

[ - ] lord_nougat 2 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:35:50 ago (+2/-0)

Plastic is seldom insightful.

lol, I did notice that. But it's just a missed space, it's different.

[ - ] lord_nougat 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:36:54 ago (+0/-0)

It's still "PUNCH OP IN THE CHOPS" worthy, though. According to the constitution and stuff, probably.

[ - ] drhitler 1 point 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 22:59:55 ago (+1/-0)

man i'd be in heaven in that aisle, only coke is in glass these days.

the plastic tastes noticeably worse, i don't know why anyone would buy plastic bottles of soft drink.

You missed out. They had arcade games in most stores. Back when the Atari 2600 was the popular console. Donkey Kong, Defender, Pacman, etc...

And no niggers.

Plastic insight? It's never fuckin'taught me anything.

That photo looks nothing like the 1980s, so I checked the DrPepper logo and it turns out the one in the image is from 1971 and lasted to 1983. The Pepsi one is from 1973 and lasted until 1987.

For some reason the Pepsi inside the cart has "Pepsi-Cola" printed on it instead of just "Pepsi", which is weird, as "Pepsi-Cola" was changed to just Pepsi in 1961. And also because it looks like one of the bottles on the right.

Any of y'all ever had US soda as sold in the EU? It's how it used to be made and that's shit fuckin' tasty and addictive. What the US has pales by comparison.

[ - ] HughBriss 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:19:31 ago (+0/-0)

Also they're all 12 oz. bottles. You can't buy soda in either 12 oz bottles or cans at the grocery store today unless you buy a 12-pack. If you just want a 6-pack, they're going to at least a half liter (a bit less than 16 oz). They don't want to sell soda in singles, especially small containers.

[ - ] Spaceman84 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:25:56 ago (+0/-0)

They actually have bottles smaller than 12oz now. You can get Coca-Cola in 6-packs of 7.5oz bottles.

DEBOOOOONKED!

[ - ] HughBriss 1 point 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:35:08 ago (+1/-0)

And they're grossly overpriced. At the markets I've seen them at, they occupy a single shelf, while the rest of the soda selections fill the entire side of one aisle. I think the soda manufacturers want to have an "alternative" size, but they don't want to cannibalize their market for larger sized containers.

[ - ] Spaceman84 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:47:50 ago (+0/-0)

In general larger sizes require less packaging thus the lower price and vice versa. The smaller containers also don't sell as much again necessitating a higher price per unit.

[ - ] HughBriss 1 point 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 22:50:47 ago (+1/-0)

Thanks apologist for HFCS. What you said might be true, in a sense, but it's wrong. You should ended your post with another DEBOOOOONKED!

Do you work for soda manufacturers? My point was that they NO LONGER SELL 12 OZ CANS IN GROCERY STORES! Explain to me how it became more cost effective to fill 16 oz plastic bottles and not make available 12 oz cans, or even 12 oz plastic bottles? Why make 12 oz containers entirely unavailable at grocery stores?

[ - ] Spaceman84 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 01:51:31 ago (+0/-0)

You're wrong, spaz. Go look at store shelves. Touch grass while you're out there.

[ - ] HughBriss 1 point 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 09:59:42 ago (+1/-0)

Not in any of the grocery stores around me. I shop at several stores for different things. I don't see 12 oz cans sold as six-packs. They only start at 12-packs. If you want a six-pack of anything, only six-packs of half-liter bottles are available. Must be a Commiefornia thing.

[ - ] Gowithit 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 10:47:29 ago (+0/-0)

Must be a Commiefornia thing.

peta killed the 6- 8 rings because its dangerous for animals. The real reason is they need us to buy more of their subsidized waste and then slowly kill ourselves while doing so. Win Win... for them.

[ - ] Spaceman84 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 11:27:02 ago (+0/-0)

Nigger six packs still use the same plastic rings. What are you talking about?

[ - ] Gowithit 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 13:01:06 ago (+0/-0)

https://archive.ph/OGIKX

I didnt say it made sense. Peta gives them a nice excuse to do it. The whole buy more drink more part until you die from obesity and high blood pressure with maybe a nice touch of cancer mixed in between.

I live in the South in the country. Gotta drive a ways to get to a Walmart. They have them. It's not anything new or special. You must be blind or are being a retard for the sake of this stupid argument.

[ - ] HughBriss 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 13:37:58 ago (+0/-0)

I agree, this is a stupid argument. You commented to me first. Stupid is as stupid does.

[ - ] Spaceman84 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 4, 2023 21:50:45 ago (+0/-0)

So are you blind or a kike?

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2.5 yearsJan 3, 2023 17:35:53 ago (+0/-0)

You have to buy individual 12oz cans or glass bottles out of the little coolers by the checkouts. Not every type of soda is available in glass bottles of course, but there are a lot more than you'd think.
