I think I remember reading in books by either his photographer, or pilot, (or both of them), that Hitler felt like marrying would put a huge burden on the wife due to his position. Or something like that. Didn't stop him from having Eva around as an unofficial wife though.

I imagine it was probably similar with kids. I feel like Hitler also lived for his work. I don't think he would have wanted the distractions of children. Just look at a lot of highly intelligent and career minded people today. So many don't have kids, or have only one, usually later in life.

There's probably some quotes to draw more insight from in other books, but what makes it hard about trying to learn anything about the man, is that the overwhelming majority of things written about him are jewish propaganda and bullshit conspiracy theories.

Imagine finding out, as an adult, that you are a direct descendent of Hitler.

My memory is fuzzy on the subject. I remember in one of his speeches, or perhaps one of his letters that he said it was too late for him to have kids, or something of the sort like that.
If I had to guess, he might have been injured during his time fighting in WW1, but I can't be certain.
