No one should say they wouldnt either because the precedent of governments disabling life sustaining infrastructure (water, gas, electricity) on those who displease them already exists. Both for the individual level and on the international level.

You just need to be careful like when you're dealing with anything that can kill you. Take off your wedding ring, wear proper gloves, stand on something insulated, never kneel on the ground, and touch one wire at a time. I do almost all my electrical work while it's live. I saw a meter explode on a utility guy once when he tried to seat a new one, so ymmv even if you're careful.
