The 'ad money' they spend on election campaigns, are actually bribes to the state run media. Thats part of the calculus that goes into deciding who the 'election system' selects to front for the uniparty.

Because of "muh ad spend and campaign donations" the media are the deciding factor here.

Once again our problems are to do with journalists, and the secret police agencies who run them.
And most of those agencies are in fact murderous marxist political commissions.

Thats why in the old CCP/soviet union the leaders were called "commissars", it translates to "commissioner."
It was a synonym for bureaucrat.

We're ruled by bureaucrats. They're the defacto power in the u.s. and in many european countries.

They're the enemy, they're the ones making their decisions, and the media is used to manufacture compliance, or at least keep the public docile or insufficiently united to fight back.
