Just imagine the racism and bigotry needed to hire qualified staff to control a plant!

Nah, let's just waste resources on giant pinwheels that sometimes catch fire!

giant pinwheels that sometimes catch fire!

Nice! I have to appropriate that

giant pinwheels
It's the only thing that makes driving through Iowa interesting.

The neo-Dutch have shitty technology compared to their ancestors.

Some interesting factoids about usage in the US:

Well, there's a manufactured "energy crisis," where (((they))) took a functioning, effective coal/natural gas/oil/nuclear energy system and destroyed it into solar/wind/feelings because muh climate crisis fairy tale.

Geothermal.

Ayup. And if you aren't in a "good area" for it, you can just dig deeper.

As someone who gets 100% of their power from the sun I agree.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:43:16 ago (+1/-0)

you must have a dark house.

cos that shit aint even close to reliable or efficient.

[ - ] ghetto_shitlord 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:57:20 ago (+0/-0)

It's a sailboat now. Even when I lived on land 100% solar. More efficient than paying the power company to make a CEO rich. I had all the comforts the weak want. AC, dishwasher, washer dryer, a "heater". Even on cloudy days I was dumping power onto the grid. I prefer a dark place indoors, if I want light, I go outside. How reliable was Texas during the freeze last year? Those that had solar didn't worry about it much I bet.

[ - ] Prairie 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 20:18:56 ago (+1/-0)

On the internet nobody knows you're a... plant.

[ - ] Sector7 3 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 13:45:22 ago (+3/-0)

Three Mile Island was an exciting week. The governor of Maryland even stationed state police at the border "to prevent radioactive Pennsylvanians from entering our state".

[ - ] PostWallHelena [op] 2 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 14:21:12 ago (+2/-0)

Really? Didnt know that. Lol.

[ - ] Sector7 2 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 14:53:41 ago (+2/-0)

I was 11 miles north, and like many had just seen The China Syndrome that past weekend. Started with a radio announcement on Monday, that some kind of incident had happened on the island, but all was under control and fine. Classic and hilarious escalation of the "all is fine" message through the week, until they finally admitted there was a tiny chance of the hydrogen bubble exploding and frying us all.

Have to wonder if the streets got as deserted during the covid hoax as back then. Most businesses and schools closed, as everyone had fled the city. (Harrisburg, PA) Friends and I went north to camp out in World's End state park.

That's not how it works when you're downwind. Nice thought though, governor.

[ - ] MasklessTheGreat 3 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 14:54:24 ago (+3/-0)

If you knew how many times submarine reactors were started up by still drunk sailors you’d realize nuclear power is safe. I know, I saw me do it a time or two.

Yeah but there aren’t many niggers on submarines and even less are smart enough to make it through the nuclear propulsion program. Usually there is only one nigger in engineering department. He’s the OBNOB. Only Black Nuke On Board

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 2, 2023 05:28:32 ago (+0/-0)

And it's obvious he has a lot of White DNA, and somehow had a huge push through the schooling system.

Oil and gas industry fear mongering is super effective.

3rd world countries with Nuclear Reactors sounds like a bad idea. Revolution and war, next thing you know one of these fuckers gets hit by a bunker buster bomb and spreads radiation across the globe. Even in 1st world countries you occasionally have some shit that goes wrong. Look at Chernobyl, Fukushima, 3 mile island.

Thorium reactors might be viable but we're twiddling our thumbs on investing in it. Fusion always seems like 15-30 years off.

Fucking invest billions in Geothermal. If you're going to send billions to Ukraine, might as well divert it to building clean Geothermal plants that have almost no drawbacks except its a bit more expensive than the other 'clean' sources.

[ - ] PostWallHelena [op] 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 20:14:29 ago (+0/-0)

Nations smart enough to use nuclear should. Theres no risk of africans being harmed by nuclear if whites/chinks dont build them one. I dont even think we should build them a coal plant.

[ - ] WhiteRonin 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 11:07:30 ago (+1/-0)

No shit.

[ - ] GoldenAgeWhen 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 14:54:55 ago (+1/-0)

Most of the crisis are fake. Climate change, ozone layer, bird flu, covid, energy, food, monkeypox, etc.

There are some real ones, you can tell which by seeing what the jews mock or don't talk about.

[ - ] Prairie 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:02:36 ago (+1/-0)

Also the things can basically stay sealed up under water, with a nuclear reactor and humans on board.

self sufficient reliable power in the home that doesnt require you to pay a third party to supply the power is never going to happen.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:41:23 ago (+0/-0)

tfw the US built a nuclear powered bomber 60 years ago, nuclear powered cars 50 years ago, and russia now has nuclear powered missiles.

[ - ] totes_magotes 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 19:15:23 ago (+0/-0)

We can't even get people to handle electric vehicles reasonably. What makes you think they can handle a nuclear powered car without blowing shit up?

[ - ] PeckerwoodPerry 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 20:04:04 ago (+0/-0)

I don't think they're talking about nuke cars, but imagine how cool that would be. Pretty sure it's referring to a localized, sustainable, and safe way to produce electricity for whatever people need it for.

[ - ] PostWallHelena [op] 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 3, 2023 09:39:07 ago (+0/-0)

[ - ] chrimony -1 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 12:42:41 ago (+0/-1)

Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima have made smashed public acceptance of nuclear energy. Then there's the nuclear waste. But yes, the energy is there. We're probably going to use it when oil and natural runs out.

[ - ] GrayDragon 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 13:13:00 ago (+2/-1)

What is your point? Or are you just saying words to fill space?

[ - ] PostWallHelena [op] 2 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 14:26:22 ago (+2/-0)

Lol, chrimony often has good comments. But this was not one. Generic bot-like normie mumbling.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:46:17 ago (+0/-0)

hes fucking correct. you can run your mouth off about how safe nuclear power is all you like, meltdowns have happened, and the waste has to be buried for longer than our branch of humans has existed.

fucks sake some of you lot are smooth brained.

[ - ] ghetto_shitlord 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 14:43:14 ago (+0/-0)

Typical low context post.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:47:30 ago (+0/-0)

pro nuke people who think the waste doesnt exist and the accidents dont happen are just as dead-ass retarded as people who think EVs are good for the environment and emission free.

the waste that coal fired power stations is fucking somewhat beneficial and gets processed by living organisms and at worst the plant goes boom and makes a lot of smoke. oil refining makes a bigger boom but again, CO2 is not only beneficial, but fucking critical to our survival. No CO2 trees die, trees die, we die.

im not even saying nuclear power is bad or shouldnt be used, im just saying if you think its 100% clean and safe you might as well go sit with the prius driving virtue signalling crowd.

[ - ] ghetto_shitlord 1 point 2.4 yearsFeb 1, 2023 17:52:32 ago (+1/-0)

Yeet the waste into space, done. Accidents are rare. Chernobyl (poor reactor design), Three Mile Island, (mechanical failure) Fukishima (built in a bad place prone to Tsunamis).
Do you drive? Way more accidents there.
