How low a score can a Voat goat have before getting kicked? Account banned? IP banned?

I see a particular user on here who’s clearly just stirring shit and farming negative points. Is there any good point to this? Is there any good contribution to the site from this?

Should there be a point where someone (or a bot) gets kicked or banned for such behavior?

The voting function on Voat has no other purpose than to serve as an "I hate you" button. If a person has low karma, the feature is working. There is no threshold or point of lowness at which any other functionality kicks in. If you're looking to get this person banned, I would say that is likely just as much his goal as accumulating low karma. So take that into consideration at least.

is this a glitch ? I noticed the same thing with Big guy from queens yesterday. same comment can be explained by refreshing or something small but it was like 2 hours apart. and heres yours half an hour apart.

More a "user feature" I've noticed.

1. You shitpost, and click post to comment in a thread.

2. When you navigate back, the text input with your shotpost is there.

3. Navigate back again and you are out of the post.

If you forgot you click "post" in step 1, then navigate back to step 2, one may think their comment didn't post. If they were stuck in this window and went to do something else, came back, then thought "better post this", it could justify the time differences.

Used to be a downvote troll on reddit that was approaching -100,000. Reddit changed their coding to prevent him from reaching that milestone. I forget the name, but the guy was actually pretty clever and funny at triggering people who wear their triggers on their sleeves.

Everyone here only gets a certain number of downvotes to dole out. It's a ratio based on how much you upvote. So, a downvote farmer could conceivably tempt users into using their downvotes at the wrong time. Thereby leaving the site open to spam attack, since no one would be able to downvote incoming spam posts. It would be a cunning plan, if downvoting the spam posts actually did something. But it does not.

Is that actually true for here? I don't have a way to know for sure myself. Also, on old Voat didn't you have to have a minimum CCP score until you could make posts? I ask because there are certain accounts that only spam, and they constantly get downvoted, but it never seems to affect their ability to post.

You need 2x the number of upvotes to downvotes. It's a pretty lame mechanism, as you can just spam upvotes to random crap to avoid it.
