This is a common practice. Dasani, sold by Coca-Cola, is tap water. There's another one sold by Nestle. I don't buy bottled water unless it's Perrier or San Pellegrino, and I do so rarely. Any other kind of water you buy should only be distilled (for irons and other appliances, because it doesn't contain calcium) or spring water.
