A nuclear bomb on the planet earth is extremely small scale compared to many events taking place in many different galaxies and it is also probably doesn’t extend into outer space.

Fucking retarded considering nothing is FTL, there are no legions of FTL alien craft coming for us, there's no reason to come for us, and any non-FTL craft will have to be immune to such small devices on a planet far far away considering the giant nuclear fireball in the sky they have to deal with.
As far as inverse cube law, yeah, even nukes wont carry an intelligible signal all that far. However, detecting nukes going off from far away is fairly straight-forward and can be done with 1940's tech, though it would take at least 1990's computers to analyze it to figure out which detected events are natural or not. Obviously no detectable emission will be traveling at FTL speeds.
