Watched the George Floyd trial again. How the heck could they convict Derek Chauvin after this one-sided case? It very clearly should have been "not guilty".

I know.
Jury intimidation.
Biased selection.
Political circumstances.
Media bias.
Etc.

The verdict was decided before the trial even started.
Nobody wanted the riots to continue.
Everybody was scared their family would be threatened.
Everything outside of the evidence and circumstances of the case itself was against Chauvin.
The entire establishment wanted that guilty verdict, and they livestreamed the case just to rub it in everyone's face that an innocent man who was the least involved in Floyd's accidental death was going to be convicted to the maximum extent because the powerful and influential people in our society decided that it would be so.
A scapegoat, the sacrificial offering.

They threw the cops under the bus to prevent riots. They were sacrificed. They should have given them a fair trial and sent the marines in with flame throwers. I would have scraped the rioters melted fat from the gutters and made candles to sell on Etsy.

They threw the election under the bus to avoid civil war.

Our justice system is filled with cowards that care more for the avoidance of negative outcomes than for the impartial administration of justice at all costs (fairly delivered justice is suppose to be their ONLY consideration), they were intimidated by threats of violence, and unfortunately, the only ones who were making threats which were at all credible were the lefties.
The right could march around with their rifles out all day talking shit about 1776, but everybody knew they would never be capable of actually doing anything remotely threatening.
The left on the other hand had just repeatedly demonstrated their willingness to burn down buildings, tear down monuments, and to just fucking kill people in the streets if they didn't like them.
A very easy decision regarding who not to piss off with your rulings if you are a judge without the balls or integrity to do your job properly, regardless of the consequences (like you swore your oaths to do).
Weak men, bad times. Place weak men in power, and watch them cower to the threats of stronger men in lesser positions, cowards do not deserve a place anywhere near leadership for a reason.

Watch the full length bodycam footage of his arrest if you haven't. You can see when Floyd swallows something and within a minute or two his panic attack started, including "I can't breathe" before he is out of the vehicle. Something around 10 minutes after the swallowing is when he is on the ground pinned. Truly believe he had a heart attack from whatever he ingested plus the "flight" panic attack reflex from the police.
