Of course the seperatism shouldn't end at Ukrainians being able to maintain separation from the US and Russia. Each province should be given more autonomy even up to separation if they prefer it. Remember that Ukraine has been in the middle of a political civil war since 2004, and the US and Russia have looked at those internal conflicts and asked "what opportunities are here for me" in pursuit of their larger geopolitical conflict and both have poured gas on those divisions. Sometimes the best way to not be a divided country is to be two countries without division. Ukraine is too strategically important to have their divisions not taken advantage of by outsiders.
