My dumbass cat ran under the garage door as I was leaving and the door closed on his neck and I didnt discover him for like 3 hours.

I wanted to shoot him after I found him cuz when I opened the door again, he is still alive, just seems really fucked up like a broken neck but he can move all his limbs, just has no balance and can't stand or really function much. My brother talked me into waiting (stupid). So if he isnt showing improvement when I get home from work tomorrow hes gonna have to get the .22.
Dumbass cat. Good thing he was free. Was really pretty though. Like a Russian Blue.

My neighbor once ran over his dog. Its guts came out of its ass. I would have bet everything it was going to die very soon. They got him to the vet and the little shit lived. He had to get pins in his legs, pelvis and spine. Cost him a fortune. I just saw him today running and yapping.

Give the cat a chance.

In the old days cats and dogs were just some of the animals you had around the farm. They had jobs and regularly were hurt or killed or had to be put down, no body got too worked up about it because damn running a farm is hard, relentless work.

Today our pets are one of the family. It doesn't matter if they are a prize winning breed or a stray that followed us home. They quickly become intertwined with our lives and a part of our story. When it comes time to do the right thing it is never easy, and rightly so. It is exactly that they have touched our lives so deeply that we feel their loss with such pain and sadness.

But they look to us to do the right thing. And if we have to we do it.

I hope it recovers and lives to a ripe old dumbass cat age. But if not then well good on OP for doing the right thing.

If that is a companion animal (petting and purring and love) to you rather than a farm tool (mouser), you should take it to the vet and pay up, even if it dies. It is for your self that you do this.

Tried nursing it back to health for a week. He showed just a little improvement. His neck stayed fucked up, always just stood still on his front legs and hung his head and stared at the ground. Sorta walked around a little. Got to where he wouldnt stay in his tub and rest. I was in the front yard doing some plumbing and he had wandered out under my truck. I got in the truck when I was done plumbing shit and moved my truck, ran him over on accident. Then I shot him. Bye Smokey. RIP

I hate cats. No, that's not entirely true, I like other peoples' cats sometimes. I hate owning cats. I would have given it the .22 and been thankful that I didn't have to deal with the little shit anymore.
