Numerous agencies, including hazmat, have been dispatched to the site of a BNSF freight train derailment in Topock Mohave County, situated in close proximity to Exit 9 on I-40 and approximately 5 to 6 miles from the AZ/CA state lines. As per official reports, multiple train cars have overturned, containing hazardous toxic chemicals. However, authorities have confirmed that no spills have been observed thus far.
Quite a lot of these strange accidents happening lately in US. Looks like some sabotage group would be on work, but might be just me being too suspicious.
I don't think you are wrong about infrastructure in GENERAL, but as I've seen (I work for the railroad) the rail is very well maintained, particularly the main. They regularly use scanners called "sparry cars" to scan the rail for cracks and other imperfections, which will be corrected in the next day or so. They also have the so called "geometry cars" which scan the rail to insure the shape is correct to fit the concave shape of the wheels, and if it isn't in comes the "grinding train". You guessed it, its 10 cars of HUGE grinders with a ton of water cannons that will regrind the entire thing back to perfect, while blasting all the nearby brush with water to stop fires.
As for the more regular rail maintenance, the boys in the track department are always fucking in our way with slow orders and "stop boards" to fix shit. It's literally every day. So ya, the railroad do take care of their rail IMO.
This issue cannot be solved with volunteer watchdogs and so on. You need millions of dollars to actually inspect 1000s of miles of rail, and often your eyes can't see that microscopic crack anyway. That's why they have x-ray sparry cars. The truth is trains and the cars they carry are huge heavy monsters that almost never rest for more than a few hours. Just like with 100s of millions of cars on the road accidents will happen no matter what.
Oh and don't think I am giving the railroad a pass on this or shilling for them, they are ruthless rat bastards as I've said several times. But when it comes to derailments the only thing I could see they do better is more "genuine" inspection and maintenance of the cars themselves. Rail good, cars bad.
Oh one more thing. I was on the fence about east Palestine being orchestrated, yes yes white noise is a huge red flag, but I just couldn't make sense of it from the railroads perspective. How do they gain personally. Eventually I heard about the "pilot program" to test the citizens for respiratory illness like 3 months before the derailment, and I was flipping out. Then I heard about how they changed the hazmat information of the exact chemicals involved to remove the RESPIRATORY DAMAGE it does from the list of effects, just a month or so before the derailment. I remember throwing my hands up and saying "that seals it, they did it". So ya, east Palestine was an inside job, even my own mother believes this, and I wasn't even influencing her on it. That should tell you something.
But no, the rest of these derailments aren't all orchestrated attacks. It's sad to say it, but derailments are just normal.

Just thinking, would be good opportunity now to establish some local volunteer guards, who would be checking local infrastructure on this "hot spots" preventing further such accidents.
I seen some vids about really extremely shitty Serbian railroads when things burned in Kosovo recently, still no accident despite that. so looks weird to me, specially bc it is always about something toxic, yeah.

Remember kids derailments happen ALL THE TIME, it doesn't hazmat spilled or broke open, so everyone calm down until we have pics of the damage.
And no, I am not a shill for the RRs, I just understand everyone is hyper sensitive to these derailments right now because it's in the forefront of our minds. I just was to be the splash of cold water.
No reread my effort post on east palestine if you need more info.
