I need to store these weapons meant for killing people somewhere safe.

storing is boring, hang, drape , slide in the wall studs, gats should be loaded and ready at a moments notice ,at various locations

There are tons of resources out there of the do's and don'ts. Open the door and you'll see that even the best ones are only rated for 30-40 minutes at 1200F. < this may or may not be useful.

When you go to buy one there will be electronic keypads offered for some models and this is great until it isn't. If you plan on opening the safe fairly often, it's great but if something goes wrong a locksmith can get you in ONCE until the next time it fails. Think about that very carefully.

Then whatever size you "think" you need, think again and then go ten guns bigger. Use it for the really important things first and foremost. Birth certs, passports, wills, deeds, gold, silver and cash.

Finally, bolt the damn thing down, don't be a moron. Mount it in a tight closed space, one that doesn't allow for leverage or movement(corner, 2 walls). When they break in they KNOW the good stuff is in there and they won't have time so instead they'll wheel that fucker straight off the patio into a truck and drive off.

-also, make sure the door is removable as in it slides off the hinges when open. It's usually the same weight as the entire safe......I'm exaggerating a little. This will make it MUCH easier to move in or around the house later.

Old glory gunsafes have nice mechanical dial, alot of good features for the door and great fire ratings. I got mine at a store but I think they freight ship. Heavy as a somebitch, leaving it with the house if I ever sell.

Don't buy a name.
I had a friend who's dad had bought one of the big name brands, I don't remember which one. Paid 4 or 5 grand for the biggest best one they had. His house burned down. When they got into the safe there were only 2 guns that might, maybe would be repairable. The rest were toast.
Then the big brand name, "lifetime guarantee", people told him tuff luck sucker, we don't back our "lifetime guarantee", so piss off.

A lock that works I presume.

That the cops don't have an override for.

Long guns? Hand guns? Size/number of rifles? You can get a safe or a cabinet, look into them.

Hide them(weapons)fully loaded(one in the pipe)top dresser drawer under your BVD's.

I like Tony sopranos idea with the hidden cabinet in a corner wall personally...
