I have one drawer just for a bunch of cheap black socks that I throw out when they sprout a hole.
Hand knit socks are of the finer things in life.
Before WW2 women knit, and darned the socks. They either steam ironed or blocked them when they were washed. It sounds like a lot of trouble today, but it involves pride & self respect. The old dressers had about three drawers and houses were built with tiny closets, so they had less, but better things that meant more to them. Women feel outsourced today, but they're not.
You are welcome! Glad they were helpful! I used the method to darn my husband's work socks' heels and it worked like a charm. I'm so happy I could do it for him. :)
