I buy green beans in Little Rock. I can get Blue Mountain Beans for eight dollars a gallon.

Fair enough. But it poses the same problem as cocaine or tobacco or booze. It is only consumed because of its addictive properties and the reason people sell it is because you can make alot of money off drugs. We all deceive ourselves about caffeine because we’re all addicted. I was only able to see it fully as an addiction until I stopped needing it.

The fucking shitty aristocrats of the European colonial empires lived off selling “harmless” drugs like tobbacco caffeine and rum to white europeans. Addiction is an economic model that parasites love to implement, but it doesnt produce any wealth. Energy allocated to addictions is negative productivity.

I used to think I would never be able to get up without caffeine btw, and now I just wake up naturally. I dont feel tired in the morning. I realized that that morning cup was for my withdrawal. But I couldnt see that until after I quit. Food for thought.

I quit drinking coffee while staying at a hotel in Des Moines in October of 2020, but not because of slave natives somewhere. Also, it wasn't because of the hotel for anyone wondering.

Would be quite a deal if you could do more than 6 grams of beans per 8 ounces of brew with those prices.

At around 32 grams for a 15 ounce pour over, I'm having gallons coming in around $4.
