True, a country can become self-sufficient - but at a cost, usually in terms of lower quality of life. People can also go "off grid", but will also lose many of the comforts and ease that are afforded in today's world.
If you want to test the ability of Whites (in the US anyway) to create a breakaway country, look at the strip of land just south of Texas. Take about 20 miles of Mexican desert and make a country. As for the idea of self sufficiently being impossible because of the need for international trade to keep up technologically, we will not stop with one country, we will be expanding as an empire.

While at the same time we will be building up a war machine with the profits we'd be making on multiple agricultural commodity markets.
