I’m going to go do this thing I decided to do. It’s the Whitest thing I could think of doing. If I were a luckier person the risk of death would be greater and the work more glorious. But at any rate I have to go to this thing. I hope you all have a good day.

I once quit a factory job because we had been working 34 days straight. We kept getting promises of a weekend off retracted. The last Friday, the shift manager called everyone together just before leaving and said "change of plans, full production. Come in tomorrow". I gave him the finger and never went back.
