The Department of State is offering a $500,000 grant to teach children in Pakistan the English language, an initiative that also includes developing and promoting the nation's young transgender population.

The grant would support English education for Pakistan's youth so that they can find success in business and establish a position for themselves in the global marketplace, according to a report.
