Here's the part where it became too difficult to understand:
We know how much Bill Gates cares about children. He met and traveled with Jeffrey Epstein many times after Epstein was convicted of sex crimes.
The Gates Foundation had a huge influence over the COVID response fiasco.
Bill Gates defended China’s COVID policies and still discounts the possibility that the virus originated from a lab [in Wuhan, China], even though U.S. intelligence agencies disagree.
The Gates Foundation may be the largest single donor to the dark money machine known as Arabella [Advisors.]
[Buffett gestures from the stage and makes inaudible comments.]
Flaherty: It funds causes like defunding the police that are making American cities unlivable.
Money goes, too, to groups conducting—

Buffet here literally saying donations to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and other politicians unfortunately necessary for Berkshire's subsidiaries.
I wonder how many in the room had the cops on speed dial.
That is not what he said. What he said was that he has donated to them personally, and that Berkshire Hathaway has not. But that subsidiaries such are rail do engage in lobbying.
But BH money still gets entrained with Black Rock money meaning even if it is Black Rock openly engaging in the politics BH ends up putting more money behind it tacitly by giving these now woke companies more money to play with.
Buffet directs the funds for Berkshire Hathaway. It's only "his" in the sense that it's his company and he is the leading stakeholder. Any seperate money he has personally gifted is not relevant to the topic and vote.

The problem is that even if he is being honest that Berkshire Hathaway does not act as a political vector for anyone's politics the reality is that while that should be the standard position it isn't. The whole investment field has become political. The way this would make Berkshire Hathaway a political vector even if it make no effort to is that that money ends up entrained with other investment inside these companies, like black rock money, that is political. And to the extent that black rock has a stronger stake or chooses to pressure for politics while BH doesn't under their apolitical stance, then that is providing more capital for what will now be political companies.
If he or his org is not pursuing politics he is still entraining capital with political investment. That's the best case even if he is being honest.
I think what the activist investor was going to say before he got booed was that they need to actively divest in things that commingle money with these people. But he was booed so Warren was able to set his own standard of what the issue was about and say BH doesn't apply political pressure.
It did cause Buffett to address the problem of managers giving political donations based on their own personal politics and it was also an interesting admission that by Buffett that many of the fields they invest in such as public utilities rely on the greasing of politicians by contributions which I thought was even though he didn't use those terms a very interesting and perhaps even criminal admission.
