You can fill a stand alone freezer with with a year's worth of meat in it from a farmer. If you live in the city (shouldn't, it's poison) and don't drive, some deliver the big score, and are on Craigslist.

Don’t buy those Costco (or any major retail) German pork sausages.

Food and Drug Administration has authorized gene-edited pigs entrance into the food chain for human consumption—as German-style sausages.

More reason to only buy your meat from small farm butchers.
