Yeah that is a well thought out response, can I just add a few observations of my own..
When your brain hears music it naturally attempts to predict the next note..
It does and that is why the most highly regarded show biz guitarists are accompanyment players, Elvis' guitarist James Burton comes to mind who was with Elvis virtually throughout his entire career, Scott Grove who received a very gracious endorsement from Tammy Wynett is another, while Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards says former Stones' bass man Bill Wyman was an excellent accompanyment bass player.
My dopamine levels remain stable most of the time .. if I was a better player they might go up a bit, just have to keep battling on I guess .. good luck thanx for the reply :)
