I have three varieties of milkweed in my "weed garden". I watch a few of these every summer.

I was out back a couple weeks ago watching a monarch butterfly flutter around the garden and got legitimately excited when it finally found the milk weed. I was rooting for her.

Last year, I took a picture of the biggest fucking caterpillar I have ever seen in my life and it was in NYC 2 blocks from my apartment. It was 5-6 inches long and was purple and green.

to ensure its survival, regularly check your milkweed for spiders. there is a particular species of spider that preys upon monarch caterpillars and they hide in the milkweed to do so.

This is backyard, from today. I did eat a little shrooms before I went out. My buddy gave me a couple shroom chocolate bars that are fuckin strong, so I've been eating bits fairly regularly.
