I'm thinking that happened because it's trained on more modern datasets, i.e. archives of commercials that are full of non-whites n sheeeit. I'm assuming race wasn't specified in the prompts that generated that ad so the AI just went with one of the more common types of people we see in ads these days. If the user who created that ad put in "all-white cast" in there then I'm sure the AI would've generated the ad appropriately.
That's not how this works. There are at least two different AIs being used. One to generate text. "Write a commercial for Oreo" The output is you get lines of text like "kid dipping Oreo in milk" Then they feed the result into an image generating AI and you get an image of an approximation of a kid dipping an oreo in milk. So, the image generation AI doesn't know it's making a commercial. It's just pulling images of kids dipping Oreos in milk.
