So, while a technicality, I think this decision only stands within the dress code of the school. I don't think it applies in general - although I'm sure it will be pushed for that.

My understanding was that schools had wide latitude to implement dress codes. If they had simply required uniforms, they'd be fine. The problem here is that they want to specifically ban a political view. As long as they ban the opposite political view, they're also fine in arguing that the shirts cause a disruption. Whether the shirts do or whatever is kind of irrelevant, since administrators are empowered to make that decision.

My guess would be the faggot law in massachusetts says this. I wouldn't expect a district judge to immediately overrule state law on account of the Constitution. It's generally above their pay grade. If this gets decided in favor of the Constitution, it will be on appeal.
