In v/Australia recently I posted about an Australian girl who went hiking in Canada. She was found dead in a ravine.

Could say these deaths were dumb as well, but where do you draw the line? At the other end of the spectrum there are still people scared of covid and don't go anywhere without masks.

Unnecessarily risking one's life is common. People ride motorcycles, drive on highways, live near niggers, and join armies.

Over 3000 vehicle users die each day in collisions. Motorcycle riders commonly smash their bodies against stuff, or have their limbs torn off and die on the pavement. Niggers and other armies will kill you just because you exist.

While it's cool to do things you shouldn't be able to do, the achievement doesn't seem worth the risk of an agonizing death. *Although my guess is instant death when the hull imploded.

I'm thinking that because it's a novel type of pressure hull made with carbon fiber, the implosion didn't kill as humanely as if it was any other steel alloy. It probably shattered implosively, turning their bodies into swiss cheese. Anyway, I hope their deaths were quick but I'm afraid it probably lasted entire seconds for them.

The compression of the bubble of air around their bodies would have made their flesh ignite like Diesel fuel. They likely had an oxygen rich environment because that's what happens when you cheap out on life support. The sudden implosion would have been accompanied by a flash of light as all flesh exposed to air, including lungs, was oxidized. RIP.

The whole story seems ridiculous to me. I don't even understand how it was a profitable business venture. There were four paying customers aboard when the craft met its fate. That's a million bucks in ticket sales. In the realm of operating research vessels and developing advanced underwater tech, a million bucks isn't very much money. I guess the answer is that they cut costs and corners at every chance, and fired anyone who dared voice concern. But there can't be that big a group of people willing to pay a quarter mil to shake hands with the Grim Reaper, so I wonder who Stockton Rush thought his core demographic was going to be.
