Remember a few years ago -- a candidate won an election in Germany (iirc, it was for the head of the German state of Thuringia) -- he wasn't a member of AfD, but got support from them, and the other parties said it was disgraceful and demanded that he resign immediately, and of
course he did. The guy was Minister-President of that state for a few weeks.
