Possibly 11/10 for flying fish, since their achievement of 35 mph 'gliding' depends on swimming towards the surface at 1 meter per second (20 to 30 times body length). Hand-launching could save them tremendous amounts of energy they could use to extend their flight.

I've never understood the love of fishing personally. What is it that you guys love so much? I'd rather work around the house improving things than go fishing.

I love being in nature, just not fishing. Hunting, hiking, camping, etc.... yes. I just don't get the appeal of it.

Fair enough. I would just rather golf with buddies while drinking beer instead of fish. Hunting isn't exactly a social event, and hiking is more of a solo thing, so the outdoor social thing makes sense.
