My kid brother had just introduced me to reddit a few months before they sold to Conde Nast. Looking back, I want to say that it wasn't totally pozzed and my frame of reference has changed so dramatically, I'm more inclined to say that it probably always was and I just didn't notice it at the time.

The deal-breakers for me was when they started threatening to fire employees that wouldn't relocate to San FranShitHole while shilling mainstream bullshit hard core and silencing anything that even remotely approached a dissenting opinion.

That alone was enough to make me leave. I just got lucky I heard about Voat before I did.

Tell you what - I've always been an advocate for free speech and I never knew what that really looked like before finding Voat.

The Nazi posts were a bit of an adjustment for me. I was really only there for a reddit-like experience of a news aggregator that wasn't totally pozzed.

It wasn't a year before I was full on ready to stuff ovens.
