If a US citizen receives unemployment or other benefits abroad - they must pay tax to the IRS as this income is obviously untaxed at source. If a US citizen has an income from a business abroad paid into foreign bank account at lower tax rate, difference owed to IRS. Happy 4th July

You’re right, that is exactly why these new “armed” IRS agents were brought on board. To go after everyday people, for any reason. It’s going to get ugly before it gets better.

If you leave the USA and renounce your citizenship the US gov't can say you did it to avoid taxes and claim you owe them US taxes for the next decade.
