Moby Dick is boring as fuck and, other than being written well, is empty.

Blood Meridian is a masterpiece, unique and powerful. Clear, violent, real. There is more movement on every page in Blood Meridian that the whole of the talk-about-overblown Moby Dick

I just finished this book a month ago on a referral from a friend. I was not impressed. The story was scattered and messy. I actually forced myself to finish because I hate not finishing books I start. Not a recommended read.

McCarthy is overrated. Bunch of fart huffing critics decided to jerk off to that crap. Basically modern art in literary form.

After 25 pages, it's like the written version of a video composed of one second clips. Also is a bit too determined to use the obscure word.

As for the blood, he was in a knife fight in the mud in some Texas town with some crazy guy. I'm guessing he survived, since the book continues.
