When evaluating any professional especially one who is most directly associated with your literal life and death it is appropriate to apply all general and specific sources of knowledge that you have.

I don't know how it is in Australia but in the United States if you had a doctor who was African-American there is a much higher likelihood that they would have been admitted to medical school with much lower qualifications and testing scores than a white doctor. This is just simply a fact. So from the get-go you know that their initial qualifications would have been less than the best. Now it's certainly possible that there could be a specific person who could advertise that they are entrance exams and qualifications were the top of their entrance class and their scores in the class were top and personally if I was in African American and was one of those people I would make sure to display that fact not just my degree on the wall in my office so people knew that because this is literally going to become a question for most people who think about this.

The other general fact that has been proven time and time again is it the average IQ of an African American is less than the average IQ of a European and again this may not be true for a specific individual but you really can't do your research on these things unless that specific individual displays that information somewhere in their office or in some other manner. Someone left only with the general ability to gauge intelligence one has to rely on the general facts that one knows such as the average IQ of an African-American is less than that of a white doctor.


Now you may or may not want to take a chance in other areas of your life but boy if there is any area of your life where you want to be the most cautious and takes the least chances it is with medical professionals who will have decisions that will affect your life and death in their hands.
