Marathon: the track & field equivalent of nagging.

When I was in high school track the girls state champion came to our track to train. Our coach sent her off on a 4 lap run. He made the boys wait till she finished the first lap.
Every single boy beat her to 4 laps. Some of these boys were in track only for credit and were slow as fuck, like porky pig. Still, they beat her easily.

Along the same lines. When I was a freshman I was 6 foot 2 and could already dunk. Not great but decent for a white guy. Well the girls varsity team was really good and had hopes to win the district maybe go to state. Well their coach thought it was a good idea to scrimmage my freshman team. Well we were really good in 8th grade undefeated lost one or 2 games as freshman.

We absolutely destroyed then and I am pretty sure fucked up their confidence they had to stop the scrimmage at halftime becauee we were strait up killing them. There tallest girl was maybe 6 foot1 and we had a 6 foot 4 guy I was a 2 gaurd. Our beam would have beat them. We killed them

As far as sports go, you maintain separate male and female sports. Then, if people are going to insist on the mentally ill participating, you create a third category, i.e., some 'misc thread' for any nutjob who thinks it is something it isn't, something in-between, or something outside of these categories. No problem, troon! You get the 'other' category, and we can let the public decide whether it cares about those accomplishments.

The fact is, the public has already answered the question, when it comes to just the 'typical' male-female dichtomomy, as to whether they care that much about women's sports. I think there is an exception to be made for Olympians; people generally do like to see how their nation's female athletes stack up on the world stage. In general, track and field events tend to be an exception to the rule (that people don't pay attention to women's athletics) in terms of the public interest.

But this whole 'controversy' really demonstrates what the heart of the matter is; it isn't about being recognized as a unique individual in terms of a sui generis category. It's about revolutionizing existing categories. That's all it has ever been about. This is why no 'gay couple' today can be satisfied with a civil union recognized by the state; it was always about revolutionizing (read as: mitigating and destroying) existing cultural categories, ala marriage.
