The actual soy sauce you either have to order or locate an asian market to buy, not that over-salted, watery shit, Kikkoman.
That's why a lot of asian style cooking at home turns out shit, because people using the wrong stuff.

Potassium Sorbate: A preservative used to suppress formation of molds and yeasts in foods, wines and personal care products. In-vitro studies suggest that it is toxic to DNA and has a negative effect on immunity.

Has good reviews, but also that. However, am seeing quite a selection of aged and organic soy sauce to try next time.

Use oyster sauce. And or fish sauce. Avoid soy sauce when cooking. And yes that Kikkoman stuff is crap.

Never used it, when I was a kid we called it 'bug juice'. Because when you caught a grasshopper brown liquid would come out of it's butt. Funny now that we call chinese

Kikkoman Tamari is better than regular kikkoman soy. As mentioned below Ohsawa Nama Shoyu is better still.

Using decent quality soy sauce is unlikely to have any phyto-estrogenic side effects if used sparingly.

kikkoman Tamari is the base grade of soy sauce that is properly fermented, as opposed to just the standard kikkoman soy which is wheat, colour brown, water, sugar, and salt.

1. how to tenderize their steaks or chops,
2. people who don't own a food thermometer.
3. people who don't know how to make reductions
