The McDonald's case was actually more valid. They were intentionally heating their coffee up to be complete undrinkable so that people wouldn't hang out in the lobby. This case is just niggers not realizing fresh food is hot.

In retrospect, they would have done better to have settled out of court with an NDA as part of the agreement.

Exactly. Given the evidence that they did increase that coffee temperature intentionally in order to make it too hot to consume, that was a losing case. However the media didn't paint it that way and the belief was that someone had won a frivolous lawsuit.
