Fuck no. The entire tipping culture has gotten totally out of hand. I remember when i 10% tip was considered generous. Now somehow 15% is minimum, 25% normal, and 50% for exceptional service.

20% has been the norm since I can remember. But I never tip out a percentage for take out. IF they get a tip it's $2-3.

Sometimes. There's a local small restaurant I like a lot. They are family owned, and staffed entirely by nice white ladies and respectful white teenagers. I always tip when I pick up an order to go, and I tip big (between 20 and 50%), because I like them and want the best for all of them.

No. The fact that restaurants won't pay their staff a decent fucking wage is not my problem. And besides it's really just a greed grab like everything else that's "new and improved".

Never for takeout, no. It's been a while since I've been in food service, but I can probably count on my hands how many times people tipped for takeout orders.

Who "takes out" these days? It's expensive. Probably unhealthy. Not as nice as home tucker and the food-handler probably didn't wash their hands after wiping their bum which means you'll get gastro.
