It's lights out for the incandescent bulbs that people have known, changed and singed their hands on for 140 years.

The modern descendant of Thomas Edison's most famous legacy is set to formally meet its demise in the U.S. at the end of this month, despite years of efforts by Republicans to extend its lifespan. As of Aug. 1, the Energy Department will fully enforce new efficiency regulations that the old bulbs can't meet, effectively prohibiting their retail sale.

When warm safe lightbulbs are outlawed only outlaws will have warm safe lightbulbs.

LED bulbs are damaging to your retinas and affects your psychology in a negative manner.

This is the throwing down of the gauntlet on humanity. They hate us so much they are willing to make the night into a painful disruptive eternal hell.... you can't even look up and see stars because A)skyglow from light pollution B)glare from LED sources in every direction hitting you in the face and C)obsenely overlit makes your pupils constrict, ruining your nightvision.

If they still make them, there will be multi-bulb fixtures to take a bunch of appliance bulbs. Which I think are less efficient. Suck that Department of Energy.

Pretty sure the bulk of us have LED bulbs and CFL in the fixtures that haven't been replaced yet. Incandescent seems to risen in popularity for the aesthetic if the glowing filament.

Im a fan of the old orange halogen bulbs that lit the roadways at night.

They make fake led glowing filaments now that appear clear edison style but are not. Looking closely it is a small array of orange leds.

That's what the jews have been pushing. The ONLY way they are 'better' is in electrical efficiency. They are bad for your eyes medically, they are ugly, it takes more energy and pollution to manufacture them, they fuck up circadian rythms of humans and animals, plantlife suffers from constant exposure, they are hazardous to safety at night, the list goes on.

I’m in a building all day with LED and it doesn’t bother me one bit. The kelvin rating is way higher and they don’t burn down or fizzle out like a flourecent and those used to give me headaches before we changed over. I have LED in my house as well. I don’t care about cost to run them and they don’t burn out all the time like incandescent.
