Another reason why my cat is the best

We love our cat but we don't love animal hair. PostWallHelena has 3 dogs so maybe she does?

Anyhow we got a brush and started brushing this cat and giving her a treat after. A lot of cats don't like to be touched/handled but this cat BEGS to be brushed and jumps on her scratcher asking for it! She'll even roll in various positions to help us get all the loose hair off.

I really do have the best cat

I have not meet a cat that does not like to get brushed. You have a very normal cat. But your cat is still the best, because all cats are the best.

I've met a lot of cats, well more than half dislike or hate brushing. It comes down to conditioning really. Cats that have always been brushed like being brushed, cats whose owners don't brush them don't like it.

Believe it or not this cat used to be wild. She was never meant to be a wild cat who lived off of birds. She is the most domesticated cat I've ever owned now.

I used to have a cat. It loved to be brushed. Anytime you even approached the pantry room where we kept the brush, it would leap onto the same high chair, purring and kind of begging you to give it the once over. Like you say, it also cut down on the shedding problem overall. I've seen some clips recently of zoo/reserve employees brushing big cats, and they love that shit, too. In my experience, cats like being brushed more than dogs.
