Keep in mind we're only getting one side of the story here, but the way she describes it their relationship was very childlike when it came to leisure time. What's undoubtedly true is that they were both drunks, and had an abusive relationship with each other.

Theres no way this was a planned murder. No one would be this stupid if they were intending to kill someone. They were two abusive drunks that would casually hurt each other. She thought she would make him suffer a little in the suitcase because he was a fucking asshole and probably had it coming. She would not have videoed it if she thought he was going to die. No one is that retarded.

People have a poor sense of risk awareness when they are high. This is just an accident due to drug abuse. Cagney and Lacey think theyre going to get the emmy for that interrogation but its just drunks being drunks. Probably better that she’s locked up for her kid’s sake but to call it murder is laughable.

Yeah I think that makes sense. Its not completely an accident. She meant to torture him and was reckless with his safety. But I do not think she intended for him to die.
