"It's just a sensor bro."

submitted by HeyJames to NutziHiveKickers 1.7 yearsAug 31, 2023 16:57:10 ago (+2/-4)     (NutziHiveKickers)

How the fuck do you know it's just a sensor?

Did you ohm it out? Did you ohm out the harness? Did you test voltage at the harness and the ECM? Did you test the ground? Are you getting proper pull up voltage? Did you try swapping a known good? Did you verify parameters with a manual guage or thermocouple? Do you even know what the code setting parameters are?

If you don't know that it's "just a sensor" let a motherfucker do his job and troubleshoot the issue. The parts cannon should be fired in CODE RED EMERGENCIES ONLY, not whenever you feel like it.

This time however it was "just a sensor". But I used proper technical ability to prove that instead of talking out of my ass. When I'm right, I want to be damn sure I'm right and can prove it. That way if a mother fucker talks shit, they can't question the process. And that's why I'm the best.

This being "just a sensor" instead of a big repair enables me to wrap up this client job early and leave location in search of a USDA prime brisket to brine in preparation for tomorrow's cook.

Really nothing else matters at the end of the day but brisket. If this cook goes well, then I'll have considered this a very successful week with all missions accomplished.

Because a bad sensor makes more sense than a bad wiring harness

Nothing makes sense unless you can prove it

of course it must be diagnosed, but a bad sensor is a routine thing, whereas a wiring harness issue is much less common

Yes. Never assume though. Especially when you're called to a far away location to get them out of a bind

You say that but you've never tuned a carburetor

I've touched more carburetors than you've touched yourself. I fuck sharks.
