I'd like to point out that it is also gay technology that is being used by heterosexuals to criticize homosexuals.

Darkness is, in and of itself, the very absence of light. Light cannot come from it's own absence. The absence of a thing cannot produce the thing itself.

And when light does come, it banishes darkness, driving it away. And darkness can only come when the light is extinguished.

Additionally, if you follow the theory that the universe expanded out of a singularity during the big bang, then darkness was preceeded by the most intense light to exist in human history, light is the origin of everything and most probably will be it's end as well, darkness only exists in between.
