The acidity of the tomatoes can often quickly ruin the seasoning on the cast iron pan causing iron to leach out from the pan.

I'm not sure how unsafe, but yes, ruining the seasoning would be my primary concern. The rusting if you don't re-season it, I suppose.

I think they luxury homestead. Like fantasy camp homesteading where they aren’t dependent on their labor to any significant degree. Like they go out and milk cows with the children and make cheese and bread and ride horses but all the actual hard shit gets done by their employees. Then they film their soft little idyllic lives and pass themselves off as authentic for their followers. It’s just like any reality tv.
