One of my favorite films of all time is the first Robocop.
Can anyone suggest a film with similar pacing that is outright interesting throughout? Another old favorite is Total Recall. Interestingly, I thought Blair Witch 2 was a solid standalone psychological thriller with plenty of Easter Eggs.
I have a hard time watching movies as very few of them are worth watching. Would love to find a new one that is great.
Blade Runner 2049 was garbage, and it had horribly slow pacing. At one point, the main characters were deliberately walking unrealistically and painfully slow. Seemingly just to pad out the length of the film, because they didn't have enough story to fill it up. Fuck that stupid movie. Almost as bad as the new Dune.

I watched the new Robocop in the theatre. I appreciated it for what it was as a re-interpretation of the original story. They expanded further on some aspects while completely ignoring the main theme of the original. I would not watch it again but definitely enjoyed seeing parts of it: Like the modern ED-209 robots. All in all, I do not suggest it.
There are some good anime online that aren't jewed, though usually a series and not a movie. Like you're not going to see a bunch of black characters for "diversity".
Akira shows how good anime can be. Death Note and Code Geass were really good series (not recent, but they are what sparked my re-interest a while back). You can check out the top anime lists and see what floats your boat. There's a lot of stuff for kids and juveniles, which I skip, but there are plenty with adult themes.
Now I'm just saying, one's inability to withstand a few seconds of cartoon wiener is kind of like, you know, snowflake behavior. Or you know, watch the underpants cut/version...
I'm younger, so my selection is gonna look fucky to most of y'all, if not outright stupid, especially because I don't really watch movies anyway...
"Stealth" from 2005 or so. The nigger dies quick and I've always had a certain "adoration" for "the plane". You'll know him when you see him. He has great taste in music. And Jessica Biel was really hot when I was like 5 and watched that movie. Ace Combat: The Movie. Basically.
Terminator 2 was great, was my first "violent movie don't tell mom" bit of fun. Watching a man get his eye impaled by a silver cop guy that just emerged from the floor made an impression on young impressionable me. I don't know what kind, but we'll figure that out later. 😂
Terminator: Salvation I really, really liked. I know it wasn't highly regarded, but something hit different in that movie. The sounds for the Terminators were memorable to me. And the designs were great. Moto-Terminators and Hydro-Bots were absolutely awesome. The HK's are a work of art as well. Love 'em. Even the dual minigun sentry-bots are great. There's also something satisfying about how when things get shot, there's a certain "impact" to it that movies and games don't often get. Like, when door guns on helis are used, you can almost "feel" the rounds "thwopping" into the water or terminators. It's really well done, IMO. The music is good too. There's one scene where there's an overhead shot of a desert road and a lone guitar slowly playing... love it.
The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises are cool. As are the old(er) Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies. Cape shit, yeah, and man some of the dialogue makes me cringe now in those SpiderMan movies, but they're alright. Definitely better when I was a kid though. The Dark Knight movies still hold up IMO. I don't like Dark Knight Rises as much though. There's a few things in that movie that hit a little too close to home.
Fury is a newer favorite of mine. I skip one scene in particular due to sexual degeneracy but outside of that, I "enjoy" it. Though it's not something meant to be enjoyed. It's more a sort of reminder for me, and a story of what's coming soon.
All of the Star Wars movies I've enjoyed since I was little, grew up on it. Fuck Disney though. Only moderately decent thing that came out of them was Rogue One. The Clone Wars TV show was also pretty good, it sort of "grew up" with its audience over time. Definitely started as a kid's show though, and they had to keep it PG.
The Sandlot is good. Always liked it. But I'm a baseball guy, what else is there to say? Gives a glimpse into a world I'll never see, too. No, I get to see the shit in Fury if I'm lucky. Yay me.
What else...
Oh, Tron:Legacy. I really liked that movie back in 2012 or whatever. Was really cool. Neat effects, neat music, I recall seeing one nigger in the entire movie and he gets his shit absolutely fucking rocked the very next second.
Also has a really hot blonde chick in a white suit. Teenage me was totally content with her being in the movie. Eye candy.
If you're with your kids, Open Season is great. Just don't watch the sequels. Ever. You have been warned.
Happy Feet was a neat story. Penguins, ice, snow, what's not to like?
Wall-E was awesome. Enough said.
FUCKIN VEGGIE TALES WAS THE BOMB. Loved that shit when I was really little.
Oh, on religion, I really feel bad for not listing this first... UNCLE MEL'S THE PASSION OF HIS ABSOLUTE HOLINESS: CHRIST HIMSELF. Or "The Passion" like I've heard everyone call it. Goooood movie. Need to watch it again at some point.
One weird movie I remember watching: Mutant Chronicles. It was on TV at some point and I just randomly caught it, and... Really weird movie. Left an impression on me that was just... different. Idk. Something about the overarching theme just stuck with me, was really satisfying, but also was very unsettling at the same time. Especially "the machine". You'll have to watch it if you just want something weird and or stupid to witness.
There's probably more, but I'm tired and feel like shit, so... good night, fuck you in advance, enjoy.

I think "EUROPA, THE LAST BATTLE" is the most important documentary ever made up to this point in time. If you haven't seen it and you're watching entertainment, you're wasting time.

The only weak part of the plot (if there was one) is perhaps Joe's discovery of the truth about "his" memories.

I would add Gattaca to this list. Not really an action film, like many of the others on the list, but excellent and well paced regardless.
