I got a few archives finished up. There are 2 weeks left to do, plus this week when it's closed out.
The doctors diagnosed me with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, which is really no surprise to me at all. I'm still going to put some recordings together when I can and have fun!
I don't have anything myself this week, but I'd like to share a new song written by my cousin. He writes Christian Music and is also a pastor at his church.

I'm doing fine. I'm just in the VA Transitional Housing program and don't have daily access to my PC. It won't be much longer until I get a more permanent place to stay.

In the mean time I am getting some medical issues documented, like the pinched nerves in both elbows that control the last 3 fingers in the hands. Also it has given me a chance to experience more time in the public and get to know some people around here and contact a few I already knew about recording.

I still have the same plans to archive and contribute something here and there after I get the new place set-up.

Great stuff! The lead guitar was pretty awesome against the strumming of the rhythm guitar and the recording sounds really good.

I think I'm going to sort of skip this one and spend some time offline (with the missus). She wants to have some chatter with me. Specifically, she wants me to spend some time with her checking her list. Her goal is to replace her daily driver with something else and she's been after me to sit down with her and review her list.

So, I'm going to do that. I may be back later. I may check in on the thread from time to time. Both are possible, perhaps even likely.

Oh, they're considered quite cool right now. The price for a good one would shock you. They're no longer $500 cars.

They're trendy and hip. They've had a cult following for a long time. I swear, Wayne's World had a direct impact on the market. Then, they released a sequel and the prices for solid examples changed dramatically.

Oh! That's a 928, I'm pretty sure. I can't read the window sticker, but buy it at that price. They're moving rapidly into 'collectible' territory. Without a physical inspection, I can't speculate on the value, but that's not a terrible price and I would absolutely guarantee a major return on your investment in less than 10 years.

In 10 years, a good 928 will be trading well within the 6-figure mark. Easily...

There's a lot of fondness for it and people are a sucker for popup headlights.

It is a 928, 93000 miles on the odometer. Seems to be in great condition.

Right now, that's probably worth close to $25k to $35k - not knowing the actual condition. I'd need to get under it, in it, and all over it. I'd need to use my lovely magnet to determine the depth of the paint and the amount of filler (bondo) that it has.

I'm a bit surprised that it hasn't sold. If you had the credit (and worked enough to pay the loan) I would tell you to CONSIDER jumping on it. An '82 in 'good condition' (not even excellent condition) would be worth $22k as it sits. If it's any better than that, you're looking at $30k. (It isn't going to be in concourse condition, which would probably be closer to $55k.)

And the prices are just starting to budge. Folks on YouTube are just starting to look back on them. The 928 prices are going to mirror the 944 prices but lag five years behind.

I guarantee it. I am a betting man and would place a firm wager on this. They're the last cheap 80s Porsche you can buy - and they have popup headlights.

I would buy that car if I was interested in speculating on a 928. There's profit to be had there for a collector. There's not enough immediacy for me to be interested in it.

Though, let's be frank about this, I do kind of want a 928 just for the headlights. I mean, seriously, they're one of the coolest headlights in the industry. It's too bad that they're no longer legal. Fuck pedestrians! They should stay off the fucking roads!

And, yeah... The Pinto is a collectible car now. It's not expensive but they're more expensive than you think they are. There are people who collect them. I do kind of like the ones with the fish-eye window in them.

The Edsel is also gaining steam, which is about fucking time. The Edsel was one of the greatest cars ever made. People just weren't ready for it. I even adore the styling. I will own an Edsel. I will own one of the best examples on the planet.

The Pinto was a "good" car in its day. It was fairly efficient (considering the options).

Also, the car from Wayne's World was an AMG. I'm retarded. It was like a Pacer or some shit.

It doesn't change Pinto prices, however. I wasn't mistaken with that one.

The pinto to me was just the predecessor to the ford escort, a mass produced cheap car thats not meant to last.

That describes pretty much every car - from then and now. They're meant to last as long as the warranty. Anything beyond that is a bonus. Well, it's not quite like that, but pretty close.

And, well, that's what most people need.

I'd say you should buy the Porsche and be a Porsche owner, but I don't think you're gonna. As I recall, they're fairly practical cars. You can drive them even in the rain and snow, assuming you have good tires. They make perfectly acceptable daily drivers.
